A mixture between Animal Collective and Fever Ray, with a touch of shoegazing, heavy rock, atmospheric and evocative with fragmented electro-acoustic arrangements; welcome to the world of The Braids. This Montreal quartet made up of two girls and two boys, who are one of the revelations of the last edition of South By Southwest (the biggest festival of showcase events in the world), were already noticed at Montreal Pop, the New York CMJ Music Marathon and in one of the most prestigious publications, The New York Times. With their first album, “Native Speaker”, released in January 2011, The Braids continue to seduce a demanding indie rock audience with their beautiful and overwhelming songs which are both simple and experimental.
