El National Quarterback is not the new star of the football field, but the most recent offshoot of the famous Liege collective JauneOrange. Made up of Chris, Ben, Adri and Eric, ENQ, to their close friends, play their sharp and inspired indie-rock card that evokes notably, Death Cab for Cutie, Modest Mouse or Pinback and The Shins. On their first record, the touching “Monarchs”, the Liege quartet score a winning goal with their rock sounds, sometimes beefy but always wrapped in the satin Bermudas of summery pop. In summary, an indie rock group in full control how we like them. Something to watch out for at the Ardentes.
