Virtuoso guitarist, composer and talented singer, Swede José González is the composer of the unforgettable “ Veneer” and “In our nature” in a polished folk style and the unbelievable cover of The Knife’s “Heartbeats”. However, well before the release of his first album, he played in Junip with his childhood friend Elias Araya on drums and Tobias Winterkorn on keyboards and synthesisers. Today, more than 10 years after they formed, Junip are finally coming out of the shadows with a first album “Fields”. On this we can hear the trademark vocals of the folky Argentine-Swedish José González, but fuller and more psychedelic with echoes of German Krautrock and revealing more hypnotic and timeless music.
