KATERINE ( - FR)
The eccentric Philippe Katerine, the most disrespectful troublemaker in France, will throw a banana to our hollow cheek boned festival goers on Sunday 10 July. Defining himself as an experimental popular singer, Katerine launched to fame with the bold “Je vous emmerde” in 1999, then came the tidal wave, “Louxor J’adore” in 2005. Today, the cheeky and touching dandy is back with a new concept album, immersing himself in all kinds of musical experience, from dance to light-hearted song, always with a touch of glamour, dada and self-mockery. A great moment of madness light on perspective with “La Banane” but also “Bisoux” and his staggered peace anthem “Juifs, Arabes”.
