SIERRA SAM ( - BE)
Liege local, Sierra Sam, whose real name is Sammy Goossens, began his career in 1995 in various techno collectives like 6th Sense Approach. When he met the Detroit legend Suburban Knight, he began collaborating with him in live shows and on his album until they started producing together under the name Sons Of The Knight.
Following his meeting with Frenchman Marcus Vector, Sammy and he launched the label Toys For Boys, which featured artists like Mark Broom and Quenum. Spotted by Jay Haze, he found himself managing the labels Tuning Spork or the very eclectic Contexterrior. Sierra Sam began producing for these labels as well as for Trapez ou Tresor, more housey and minimal techno, with their singles “Crisis Ep” and “Slab City” and the excellent album “A Gap In the Mind” being good examples.
Recently, alongside Jay Haze, he helped with the production of Bloody Mary’s Concept album on Contexterrior and he is preparing to release his brand new album which he already considers the biggest success of his career.
