The Congolese group Staff Benda Bilili are from Kinshasa. Made up of street musicians on crutches and in wheelchairs, the group have seduced world-pop stage all over the world with their irresistible and unbridled music, their immense enthusiasm and shows that give you itchy feet! Of course, not forgetting the unique and feverish sound of the satongué, their small homemade guitar with one string that punctuates their rumba sounds and other similar swaying rhythms. Released on Crammed, which once again, confirms their vocation as pioneers, their marvellous first album entitled, “Très Très Fort” is rarely pertinent. After filling the Botanique and the AB, the Staff will appear at the 2011 Ardentes this summer. A kind of “Buena Vista Social Club” with an African flavour and in customised wheelchairs. Get ready to dance!
