Lovers of genuine rock'n'roll, welcome to The Jim Jones Revue, London group founded in 2007. For the non-initiated, Jim Jones Revue have put themselves at the forefront of the rockabilly scene with the same energy as the punks. Imagine being in a concert bar in the 50s with all the screaming, shouting, hollering, yelling and beer spitting. This heaven-sent group are basically influenced by the masters; Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard and they shamelessly and relentlessly set fire to their rhythm and blues idols by renewing the genre and giving it a breath of fresh air. On stage we find: Jim Jones, the singer who was already in the psyche-rock revival group Thee Hypnotics and Black Moses, the excellent pianist Elliot Mortimer, Rubert Orton on guitar, Gavin Jay on bass and Nick Jones on drums. Their second album “Burning Your House Down”, released last year is strong, powerful and wild! We await their show with baited breath at the Ardentes this summer; watch out for your eyes and your eyes!
