These New Puritans impressed us with their angular and rebellious first album, but we never imagined these young Brits capable of producing the mutated, disturbing and immense album “Hidden”, voted album of the year by NME. It’s a war against the mediocrity, futility and submission pop music so often accepts in exchange for its Warholian 15 minutes. For their leader Jack Barnett, pop is a serious proposition that can change lives.
